| Washington Stars Quilt Guild Reusable Grocery Bags |
| The Washington Stars Quilt Guild sews reusable grocery bags to donate to the Food Bank. In 2014, Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater and unincorporated Thurston County adopted an ordinance that bans single-use plastic bags. This project is a great way to use up heavier fabrics like upholstery, corduroy and drapery material. Linings can be some of those 'whatever was I thinking when I bought this fabric'. The Community Outreach Committee accepts donations throughout the year at guild meetings or during the Community Outreach Sew Days on the third Wednesday each month (except December).
